How I can help

Your land. A clearer way forward.

Practical countryside advice for landowners and smallholding owners, shaped around your land and what you want from it. Choose a remote session or a site visit with me.

From wherever you are

Friendly guidance, remotely.

Share photos and a walk-around video, then settle in for a proper conversation on Zoom or the phone. Your first meeting is the Land Clarity Session — £200 for remote guidance — and we’ll make sense of your land and work out your next steps together.

  • Available across the UK
  • A 1 to 2 hour conversation
  • Help deciding what’s essential, optional or can wait

Out on your own land

Let’s walk it together.

I also offer site visits. We can walk your land, stop at the parts you’re unsure about and talk through the possibilities. A site visit can be your first Land Clarity meeting, with the visit price and any travel quoted separately — so there’s no £200 remote fee on top of it. You’ll get the same plain explanations and a clear sense of your next steps.

Site visits across North West England, North Wales and Yorkshire, including Cheshire and Lancashire.

  • Time to look and ask questions together
  • Visit length and costs agreed beforehand

Remote guidance packages

Every engagement starts with a Land Clarity Session — it’s the first paid step, and it’s included in the £300 Clarity & Seasonal Guidance Package, so with the bundle you don’t buy it separately or pay it twice. Prefer to meet on your land? See site visits below.

Save money. Spend wisely.

The Land Clarity Session is £200 and the Seasonal Management Plan is £150 — fixed prices for remote guidance. The plan is a follow-on, available after your completed session, so the £150 is additional to the £200 session. The Clarity & Seasonal Guidance Package brings both together for £300, including the session, a written clarity summary with practical action points and your personalised seasonal plan. The WhatsApp Advisory Subscription starts from £30 per month, with the price agreed before you start. These prices cover remote guidance; a site visit can also be your first Land Clarity meeting, with the visit and travel quoted separately. Your intro call is always free, and I’ll help you tell apart the work that’s essential, the work that’s optional and the work that can wait.

A site visit with Tom.

Let’s walk your land and talk about what’s there, what you’d like from it and a sensible place to start. A site visit can be your first Land Clarity meeting, and we’ll agree the time and price beforehand.

Wildlife and nature

Bring more wildlife to your land.

I love wildlife and practical land care, and helping people make room for nature is one of the best parts of this work. Whatever land you have, there are realistic, cost-effective steps that make a genuine difference.

Wildflower and wildlife meadows

Turning part of a field, paddock or lawn into a wildflower or wildlife meadow, with honest advice about what results to expect and when.

Pollinator-friendly areas

Practical ways to help bees, butterflies and other pollinators — choosing the right plants, leaving the right areas alone and cutting out unnecessary work.

Habitat improvement

Hedgerows, ponds, deadwood and rough corners that give birds, insects and other wildlife a home while keeping your land manageable.

Wildlife work doesn’t have to be expensive. I’ll help you choose the steps that give the most benefit for your time and money.

A conversation,
then a simple plan.

Whether we meet on a call or at your gate, we’ll start with what matters to you. No countryside knowledge needed.

My guidance is informal and practical, both remotely and in person. I’ll be clear about what I can help with and when you need a specialist. Every engagement begins with a Land Clarity Session. By remote it’s £200; if your first Clarity meeting is on site, the visit and travel are quoted separately instead. The Seasonal Management Plan (£150) is an optional follow-on after the completed session, and the £150 is additional to the session price. If you’d like the session and the plan together, the Clarity & Seasonal Guidance Package covers both for £300.

01

A friendly intro call

We’ll have a free, no-pressure chat about your land and what’s on your mind. Your first paid meeting is the Land Clarity Session — remotely on Zoom or the phone, or out on your land as a site visit. We’ll talk through your location, what you’d like help with and the price before you decide.

02

A quick questionnaire

I’ll send a short questionnaire about your land, how you’d like to use it and how much time you want to spend on it. You don’t need measurements down to the last inch or a list of every plant. It gives us a useful starting point for either kind of session.

03

Get ready together

For remote guidance, I’ll explain which photos and walk-around videos would help. Your phone is all you need. For a visit, we’ll agree when to meet, how to access your land and what you’d most like to look at. A few photos beforehand can help, but there’s no need to tidy up for me.

04

Let’s look at your land

A remote Land Clarity Session gives us 1 to 2 hours together on Zoom or the phone. On a site visit, we’ll walk your land and talk about what we can see; we’ll agree the time needed beforehand. Either way, there’s room for your questions, practical ideas and an honest conversation about what needs attention.

05

Your next steps

After your Land Clarity Session, you’ll know where to start, what can wait and when you need a specialist. If you’d like something to come back to, the Clarity & Seasonal Guidance Package adds a written clarity summary with practical action points and a personalised Seasonal Management Plan for the year.

06 · Optional ongoing support

Keep in touch

If you’d like someone to turn to after your Land Clarity Session, ongoing support is available by WhatsApp or email. Send a photo, ask a question or check an idea before spending money. We’ll agree the monthly price before you start.

Knowing when to ask someone else

Some things need
a specialist.

I’ll help you understand the next step when something goes beyond friendly guidance. That might mean a tree specialist, someone with detailed wildlife knowledge or your local planning team.

  • I don’t give planning permission advice.
  • I don’t provide chemical or spraying instructions.
  • I don’t certify trees as safe or carry out formal ecological work.
  • I can talk through ideas for animals, but can’t guarantee how many your land can support.
  • I don’t provide regulated professional reports or certificates.

And if you don’t need to spend money, I’ll tell you that too.

You don’t need to have it all figured out.

Tell me about your land. We’ll work out a good place to start.
